The Westlake Professional Fire Fighters Association, Local 4147 proudly announced their endorsement of Representative Donna Howard today in the race for Texas House District 48.
“I am honored to receive the support of the Westlake Professional Fire Fighters Association,” Howard said. “I represent part or all of five Emergency Services Districts, and I understand the challenges they face to deliver excellent service under tight budget constraints.”
During her candidate interview, Rep. Howard discussed the need to facilitate communication between various local associations in Travis County to increase interdepartmental cohesiveness.
“I applaud Rep. Howard’s commitment to ensuring that tenured firefighters continue to serve the community in the most effective way possible,” said Preston Doege, WPFFA President. “Removing statutory barriers to consolidation of some services will allow us to adopt a more regional approach which will further improve the services received by her constituents. We look forward to working with Rep. Howard and her staff to meet this goal.”
