INTRODUCING THE COMMUNITY CORNER
Check out the “Community Corner” a new feature of Donna’s website with a focus on you! This page will be a space dedicated to sharing good news about House District 48. Did your son just make Eagle Scout? Did you and your neighbors just form a neighborhood watch? Let us know!
Our first post features Jack London, an attorney and author of Virginia's War: Tierra, Texas 1944. The first of the French Letters Trilogy, Jack’s work has been nominated by the Anderson Foundation for "Best Novel of the South" and the Military Writers Society of America for "Best Historical Fiction of the Year,” earning second and third place respectively. To read more about Virginia’s War visit the “Community Corner.”
There's so much going on, that we can't capture everything without your help. If you'd like to submit something for a future post, please email the details to info@votedonna.com. Don't forget to include your contact information as well.
HELP US WELCOME ADDEY
Starting June 1st, Atalie (Addey) Nitibhon will be joining the campaign as our Field Director. She will be the point of contact for all our volunteers, and we are excited to have her on board.
Addey was born and raised in Austin, Texas and received a B.S. in Human Biology from UT Austin in 2005. She then worked at the American Cancer Society’s National Cancer Information Center before returning to school to receive a Master of Arts in Human Services and Conflict Resolution from St. Edward’s University in 2008. That fall, she entered the LBJ School of Public Affairs and will graduate with a Master of Public Affairs at the end of this month. During her time at the LBJ School, she worked as an intern for TexHealth Coalition during the 2009 Texas Legislative Session, then as the Health Policy Intern at the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
One of Addey’s favorite things about Austin is the variety – “there's a little bit of everything here.” She is looking forward to working to re-elect someone whose values, work ethic, and dedication to the state of Texas inspire her, and she can’t wait to meet all of you - Donna’s amazing supporters.
