As a result of the redistricting litigation, the deadline for mailing of new voter registration certificates has been pushed back until April 25, 2012.  All previously issued voter registration certificates expired on December 31, 2011 which has caused some confusion about whether or not people will need to re-register in order to be eligible to vote in the primary election.  ONLY THE VOTER REGISTRATION CARD HAS EXPIRED and will automatically be renewed once Travis County has finalized precinct boundaries.  You do not need to update your registration unless your address or name has changed.  You can find instructions for updating your voter registration here.
